Picked up '02 EX Sedan this weekend. Good price?
Hey, guys.
Just picked up an '02 EX Civic Sedan for my wife this weekend. We got a Titanium 5MT, side air-bags, 5-spoke alloys and 6-disc in-dash changer for $18,750 which includes TT&L. Is that a fair price? I think I could have got another $500 off, but I was tired of f'ing around after only ten minutes of negotiating.
Also, we test drove the 5MT 127HP Civic vs. the 5MT 150HP Accord and even though the Accord has more HP and TRQ, it didn't pull for sh:t, sounded like ***, and had a vague feeling to the shifter. I can see why so many of you chose the Civic over a base Accord.

That is a decent price with side air bags, 4 doors, CD changer, and rims. Sounds Sweet. Now you gotta start modding!! haha. Congrats!
dang, that's the same price I paid for my 2k1 Sedan EX without allow wheels, side airbags, and only a single disc CD player. something tells me either I got raped or you got a good deal. probably the former. hehe. oh well, I am still happy.

you're a super member, and you didn't know that there were sedan EX's? Anyways, the sedan EX has the same as a coupe EX, 127hp. I have one myself. And people are always doggin' on newbies!!! hehe

Well, back to the topic, I think you got a killer deal. I paid around $18,500 for my 2k2 Silver Metallic Sedan EX w/ 5 sp. and side airbags, so you got a really good deal with the 6 disc and alloys. Congrats on the new member to the family. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for the welcome, guys! I can't wait to pick it up this Saturday. I've been giving my wife a hard time about buying a fart pipe for her birthday! I don't see any real mods to come, but I will be doing the DIY Throttle Cable Adjustment once we get through the break-in period. I'm saving the mod money for my 350Z coming in August.
BTW, I traded my leased CL-S in on the Civic. The dealership went nuts over it and bought out my lease, plus I won't get hit with $1,000+ mileage fee that was coming when I turned it in this April. I hate to see it go this early, but it's only five months till August...

That seems a little pricey to me. I got an EX Sedan Automatic with the regular oem package of mud guards, floor mats, etc. I paid $17,000 after everything ($250 Processing Fee!). Since you're getting manual, it should get down 1,000 right there. $16,000. so $2,750 for side airbags, 15" oem wheels, and a CD changer? That's a rip off to me. Side airbags are only suppose to be $500. So save the $2,250 and buy yourself some nice wheels and an aftermarket cd changer, or buy the OEM from Handa Accessories, and you'll still have $1,000 to spare. We could have gotten my car for less, but my dad was pretty lazy.
Wow, a CL-S.....i'd be sad to see that car go. Hope you're happy w/ the civic, its a bit of a step down from the acura....but i'd say you got a fair deal, considering the options. My 2k1 EX auto was 16,200 including the roof visor and floormats with 7.2% APR...my dad's a good haggler. good luck with your sedan!

Damn! You're right! What's the cheapest I can get the OEM six-disc for and how hard is it to install? Is it plug & play? Since I haven't finalized my paperwork I'm going to do some recalculating. Thanks, man!

I'm not all that sad... I've pre-ordered a 6MT Touring Silverstone/Charcoal 350Z arriving in August.
