I like it. Lower nose and body style than the current box, hopefully the 06 tails get dumped. I was thinking about getting an 06 in late 06, but with this coming out, ill spring for that. The 49/51 split in the awd will make it great in the snow and ice in NY - Ill prolly be going back sooner or later. Plus I may need 4 doors soon...we'll see! No specs on power yet. Im sure it will be bumped from the 300hp/300tq now. Rumors have it that its gettin a blown horizontal 6 3.0; maybe TT. Prolly around 35k, compared to the 50k of the new GT-R.

with the new lancer evo

I like it, looks nice, and the power being bumped up is a plus, i mean 300hp is alot but why not more! I don't like the Mitsu beside it though. Looks like they went with a bigger wheel too.

Is it so hard to make a decent looking car? God damn, look how ugly that thing is.... the body lines dont flow and the front does not complement the rear in any way.

Why not make a simple looking car like a Civic or something.... nothign special but make it look decent. Along with the performance aspect it would be a great all around car.

are you kidding me... the car has gone under more redesign's then any car I know of.
Are they gonna keep redesigning it every year??!??!?! I'd hate to buy a brand new car then have it outdated the next year.
What the **** is Subaru thinking??!?!?!?!?! That thing is ugly btw.

You have to see it in person. My friend has a 06 sti and it looks ok in person. That car pulls like a mother too!!. It convinced me to save for a EVO or Sti instead of a swap. I think its a improvement over the current 06. I think the 05 was probably the better look. I doubt they would put in a 6 cyclinder engine though, it goes against there rally hertiage.

No good, no good at all. I remember people saying that the last gen looked wierd. I liked it a lot, except for the ricey factor that follows it. But this new one is fugly, I don't think I can get used to it.
How can they design the Legacy and this Impreza and not wonder if there is a problem somewhere.

Since the current EVO and STi are SO CLOSE in all aspects, it seems that they are both trying to make the UGLIER car now. At least one will win at that... probably not though

Looks ok, except for the rear wing. Rear wings should be outlawed...and don't try to tell me its functional. If a vette that can do 150mph without breaking a sweat doesn't need one, then no subaru needs needs one. If you absolutely must, at least hide it ala 911 style.

ok. Have you seen the comparison of the effects NOT having a wing on a Rally car? The car is almost impossible to control ...esp. when your sideways. This wing in stock form from the factory is extremely functional. At 80mph an unlatched trunklid will latch itself.....because of the downforce created by the wing. This has been proven. It aids in traction, stability, handeling and even helps with steering. I don't think rally car's have the wings purely because "it's cool to have it". Have you noticed the ground clearance of a rally car versus a corvette? Yeah that's why vette's don't need wings. You don't see vette's ripping through a muddy wooded road either.

Just wanted to add...I do understand the purpose of the wings on a rally car. You bring up a good point with the ground clearance issue. I just find this wing to be ridicuously huge on a car that will probably never see dirt, and I was sort of commenting on many cars in general that have ugly jumbo jet size wings on them.
