simple. NOS has been around a LOT longer then everyone else, plus they were founded by and belong to Holly, which has been around since your grand parents were fixing up hot rods.

JeffSpeed21 - It will probably be at the newstands late this week or next. I think usually the mailings get there about 1-2 wks earlier. Worth getting a subscription!! They probably will have quite a lot of 7th gen modding since we are the newest.

I have the scanned version. It was posted a while ago in the Tech Stuff forum. The account that I was serving it off of was taken offline for some reason though. Maybe too much bandwidth? Anyway, I'm working on converting the article into a DIY.

I got NOS on my car 50 shoot and it's sweet.
I burned a camaro going into the Turnpike at about 90mph,
I was in 4th gear and I saw that spot that I just have to get into or I was going to be stucked on the shoulder of the road.
The Camaro speed up to cover the space available,( the jerk ) out of reflex I activated the NOS,
(the bottle was open from the night before at a show I went too)
I floored it, and the NOS kicked in I went from 90mph to 120mph in seconds the Camaro tried to cach up you can tell he was driving an automatic by the delayed reaction of the transmition,
I slowed down, he got withing a car's distance and I down shifted and floor it again.
Later down the road the dude on the Camaro gave me a thums up or may be he was flipping me off.
I don,t use it as much but is very addictive and will required some control not to use it every day.
And if one day it burns my engine, than I'll install all the good hardware to handdle the job.
About $900 to $1100.00 for a used engine.
I want to get one just to play with it see what other moods can be done with it. And have it ready in case mine blows up

How bad can it be to use Nos / nex on our cars, if we only use it once in a while?

its 30 to fill, and a 10Lb bottle will last you all day at the track given that each run with it on is about 14-15 seconds. A NEW nitrous kit is about 400-500 bucks. the clutch is 250. thats 2 seconds off your ET for less thena grand after install. Try doing that with I/H/E, cam, cam gear, VAFC and most any other bolt on (BTW which already passed 2 grand in mods from that list i just gave). Oh, its its called "self control".

ir [could blow your engine up. Then again so can a turbo and even natually aspirated tuning.
