thinkin of selling the vic

ive come to realize as much as i love the vic and i dont want to part with her i cant afford to have her, i can make the payments and everything, but i want to do to much, and i will dump my money into it cause i love the car to much. i have a list of crap on my computer of **** i want to buy for my car. it totals out to over 5k with out the turbo, with the turbo its at 8k no including installs and tuning, so i want to buy a car that has almost everything i want and i wont mod to much. maybe just little things here and there. so im looking into a e46 (BMW for those who dont know). used of course, like a 2000-2001 something like that. 323-330 (323 and 328 were still out til 02) coupe 5 speed. my question is how much you think i should pay for one, with decent milage? one of my friends wants my vic, so i know it will go into good hands, and she said that she will pay what ever i owe on the finance, which is like 10,800 so yeah.

Yea. Don't buy a used BMW unless you have a ton of cash to put into maintenance and repairs. Bad idea if you're saying you can't afford all the stuff you want on your vic.

just get a type-s. better platform to start modding anyway, and it's a coupe which seems like what you're for.

really that much in maintenance? well i found one for 2k more than my i paid for my vic and it has the same milage as my vic ~52k. its not that i cant afford the vic, its more or less im gunna dump ALOT of money into mods on the vic, and i want to do it all at once that. or most of it. if i get a beamer it will be tint and rims, then just throw a system in and im done with it, cause well its a beamer. lol

Good luck.... you're going to dump ALOT of money into a Beamer JUST in maintenance. Take it from experience. I'd rather drive a FORD. Yes, you read right. Stick to something Japanese. You can get RELIABLE power.

Yeah, it's a beamer..... good luck paying for that "image"

^^True..parts and labor will cost you an arm and a leg compared to what you will pay on a japanese or domestic car. And yes, a used BMW is fairly likely to run into electronical problems which is something you can't really fix yourself.

BMWs are great cars but remember that you are also paying a lot just for the sake of driving a luxury car that projects an "image".

Check out the consumer reports ratings for a 2001 BMW before you consider further.

dude its just a status symbol. if you want something turboed already, find a TT rx-7 or an audi TT. something thats stock boosted. like a used WRX. beamers would cost you assloads more in the long run
