CF bonnets
question, what happens in a front end accident with a cf bonnet?
a stock or metal bonnet would buckle and bend, but wouldnt a cf bonnet withstand the tensile forces of a crash and shear the clips driving the bonnet into the windscreen? i rekon it would be pretty dangerous to put on a cf bonnet, simply because its lined up directly with your throat and only a piece of glass is stopping it from shearing your head off.

Oh the old urban myth resurfaces. Your CF hood is not like the super strong carbon bands they build the earthquake buildings out of. You have no need to worry. Your right, it will not crumple the same as your hood would PER SAY, but it will bore or less disintergrate, and chunk off, if you know what I mean.
