Its true that its not at all the same as the Daytona. The only thing they share are similar shapes, otherwise they use different motors, suspension, drivetrain, etc.

My friend had 2 of them back in the day, if one of them broke he could drive the other one. They replaced them with the Eclipse.

They came in one of the coolest colors ever, Conquest Blue, great color.

nice....when i was in seattle for a meet a few months ago, i was behind a car that said CSX-T on it, and had a shelby emblem, i have a picture somewhere i took of it. but anyways, i called up a friend right away (hes into all these unknown cars and stuff), and he said he didnt know wtf it was, so he went online, and found out it was a 4cyl turbo car made for thrifty car rental, and theres only a few out there.

Body wise, no way is it the same. I mean sure they are both turbo, but the conquest has a 2.6 while as the daytona has a 2.5 with less hp, the biggest engine the daytona has is a 3.0 but thats a v6... So it is in no way, shape or form the same.

I had one in high school. The thang was fast and handled like a dream. You go around a corner with the tires spinning and let go of the wheel and the thing would correct itself. The one I had would hang with a 300z and would out run the mustangs in town. All the v8 guys hated it cuz I was faster. They are really nice cars.

My first car was an red 89 conquest tsi it always got nice looks. It was a little worn out (my parents drove it for around 150,000 miles) but it still drove awesome, I wanted to fix it up but I really needed a dependable car for school so I got the civic. Id love to buy another one and work on it though

Conquests are def. cool cars, but they are just like all other DSM's and break frequently. Here's one set up for Outlaw street class racing runs 8.93 in the 1/4.

i know what it is, but i have never heard of anything other than eclipse's (talons lazers) referred to as a dsm. does this car say dsm on the info plate under the hood?
