Is this legal?
Is this legal?
Ok, i was gonna clear out my headlights and my brother was telling me that it would be illegal to remove the yellow/orange thing from the light. I remember reading this on the site a while ago, but i couldnt find it. Where can i find if it is legal for texas?
I'm pretty sure it's ok as long as you have amber bulbs for turn signals!
Goodluck with clearing them... I still need to find the ***** to rip apart my front bumper

Please try searching before you post theres been many a thread on this, but i know for a fact here in Cali its legal because the bulbs are amber even after you remove the orange plastic.

In most states, you have to blink either white or amber. And you have to have an orange reflector.
When you clear them, the bulb is amber enough, and most cops don't care about the orange reflector. Even though it's not orange, the reflector is still there after you take the orange insert out. And if you have blue or HID headlight bulbs, the blinkers look even more amber.
So, my point is....clear em and enjoy.

Drive as fast as possible. After you get pulled over and the cop is writing you a ticket (or putting you in handcuffs) ask him if it is legal. Just kidding. Actually, take your car into a car inspector and ask him or ask any cop. They should probably be able to tell you. It should be legal though.

They are "legal sidemarkers" but the stock signal bulb keeps it looking just fine at night. If you get pulled over for cleared headlights, you've just ran into a harrassing cop.

I've been driving around with clear turn signals for almost 8 months now, and I haven't been pulled over yet. I don't think cops care really, not here in MN anyway. The orange makes it better for other drivers to sea the signal, its kind of hard to see hyper whites on a very bright sunny day.
