Civic windscreen wiper

Hello everybody,

I've just got a new Civic 1.6 vtec executive automatic. I live in Scotland & I'm sure you've heard about our lovely weather. The windscreen wiper is just not fast enough. I contacted the Honda dealer but they were not aware of anyway to increase the speed of the wiper. I welcome any suggestions.

Cheers

Umm.... well, the fastest setting is as fast as it gets. There is no way to increase it. That must be some rain!! The best you can do is treat the windscreen with Rain-X or comparable product. The rain will sheet right off when you drive. I have been through some BAD rain, and it really did help a lot.

Welcome to 7th gen, and good luck with that weather!

i found that using graphite coated bosch micro edge blades made them wipe faster since there is less resistance when it wipes. i've tried 6 other brands and these were the best.

I reccomend RainX as well, it's great. At low speeds I don't even need the wipers on. I also use Bosch Micro Edge wipers as well, as they just seem to wipe better and last longer.

Honda needs to change the gearing for low speed at least, It is way too slow.
