the 06 body does look a bit shady. Although, i remember when the new 5-series and 7- series came out i thought it was TOO edgy.
Another example would be the jump between the current A4 and the previous generation. Granted, they maintain similar styling cues, but the A4 looks far far more futuristic than i had ever anticipated, and it looks far sexier than i ever would have imagined.
i think cars are just evolving into more modern looking machines faster than anticipated, we just have to get used to it.
agree / disagree?

its got a nice look except the tails that are same as audi. but yea alot of cars are starting to have that looik. did you see the new eclipse? some of those colors aren't that bad. and ya its just evolving since they can't keep making older look cars. If you want that, just buy a used car.
Usually "futuristic" looks get cheesy after a couple years because they look even more weird when the style gets old. BMW 5 series and 7 series already look weird and out of date--3 series is more bearable because they made Chris Bangle do a more conservative design to retain sales.
As for Audi, the design actually got tamer, save for that huge grill in the front. They made a conscious decision to make it look less futuristic and bubbly and warmer--hence the increased creases to the side profile.
