door ding?

Someone posted a DIY for getting rid of door dings that involved ice cubes, lipstick and a hairdryer. Does anyone have the link for it or have another way thats very easy to do to get the ding out?

Keep in mind that the paint needs to be HOT!!!!!!!!!!

Get some lipstick, out it on the dent, get some dry ice, hold it over the dent, just barely over the dent (with some tongs of course, no hands),
Kinda work around it..... Ya know.... "wax on, wax off" circular motions

I always see these paintless dent removal services driving around....i guess you call them up and they come to your house or work and fix your dents without using paint or anything...maybe you can call one of them up.

Ok grey i'm gonna try that but i've got two questions.

First, how close to the car do i aim the hairdryer and what temp? (hi, low?)

Second, how hard should i press on the ice to the car?

thanks in advance

With a hairdryer... the longer the better. Don't push the ice on it hard, just enough to be touching the metal. LOL. I haven't finished getting my dents out, my car got broken into a little bit after that thread, and just haven't gotten around to fixing it. Im lazy, and I have gotten used to them. Gives my car character

As hot as you can get it with a hair dryer (that means as close as you can get it). A heat gun might get it too hot?

>> Second, how hard should i press on the ice to the car?

Lightly, only touching. You don't want to be preventing the dent from popping out. You only want to cool the metal down.
