about 134-136 ft. for both the sedan and the coupe.
this is EX model though... ABS doesn't play a factor in the distance of braking...
I forgot if the EX models have bigger disc up front though. in either case, the DX, LX and HX shouldn't be too far away from those numbers.
they brake a good deal better than previous generations... from 10-30 ft. better.

<< The front disc brakes have been beefed up slightly, as well; the rotors are larger in diameter (from 9.5 to 10.3 inches) on DX and LX models and remain at 10.3 inches on the EX. Pedal feel was progressive on the Sedan, and deceleration from 60 to 0 was covered in 146 feet. The ABS engaged unobtrusively on the EX Coupe (60 to 0 was accomplished in a much more confidence-inspiring 124 feet). While stopping action was far from atrocious in the Sedan, our test driver asserted that the confidence of ABS is worth the extra investment. Too bad antilock brakes are still only available with EX or GX trim. >>
This is part of a review at Edmunds.com I don't know what to believe myself. They're talking about the sedan without ABS and a coupe with ABS. They're practically the same cars anyway, so why would braking distance be so different with ABS? What the hell is GX trim? I think what might be true is that ABS does not allow you to lock your brakes, so you can brake as hard as possible. With a non-ABS braking system you will be locking your brakes every now and then and will not be able to control this as well as ABS will. Maybe that's where the difference comes from?

All I can tell you is that 30-0mph is more than 20-30ft....I found out the hard way. I'm seriously considering 4 wheel 4 piston brakes with 14" cross drileed-slotted rotors.

2k2civic: Remember that you need more friction with the ground to STOP, so upgrading your brakes may not be the solution if you can lock them up at any speed. I know that I could lock the stock brakes even at 50mph. I don't know about higher speeds, kinda afraid to try it. Anyway, get wider tires first. Then if you can't lock your brakes at a certain speed upgrade your brakes until you can.
SoFlaCivic: Oh yeah. It's the natural gas powered one. Now I remember. I've seen a couple of natural gas conversions in Europe before. It's cheaper for them to run on natural gas over there. Actually, my friend in Poland converted his to run on natural gas and regular gas. He just has this huge tank in back. Dual mode, kinda k3wl.

That's nonsense. If anything ABS actually has a negative effect on braknig distance because it rolls then stops, then rolls a few more inches and stops again. The advantage of ABS is CONTROL, not shorter stops. The tester was probably just afraid to lock up the wheels because he was afraid of flatspotting the precious firestones LOL!
