Jacking points on the frame???
Where should I put the floor jack for my 2002 civic? I used the floor jack on the normal lift points (where the oem jack goes according to the owners manual) then put jacks stands under what I thought was the frame but the metal bent really bad when I lowered the jack.
yea what you have to do is get a jack that goes up high enough that you can jack it up in the front (underneath on the front right behind the front bumper there is a fatty metal peice that is part of the frame, its a lift point, its dead center underneath or maybe slightly to the left, then you put the jackstands under the part that the spare tire jack says to put it on. the pinch welds on the side behind the wheels are the only place u can put it, if u dont put it on the pinch welds, itll bend the frame. the pinch weld is the place where the stock jack says to put it.

always lower the jack SLOWLY....very slowly...that way you can avoid bends like you said...by catching them before they happen....if you care to also you should put an old rag or folded up cloth or towel on the stand platecars like soft hands too
)....the best places to lift on the sides are...look under the side skirts about 3-4 inches in re the pinch welds or "rails" that run along the body from front to back at either end are thick pieces...look like very wide and short letter M....those are the best place to raise a civic...if you HAVE to lift on front ...do it at the perch area behind the brake... where that lump is....THIS IS if you're only lifting the one quarter...only go up high enough to lift the tire up... any farther is bad for the suspension...
