it's a ztec camera mount.
it was 60 bucks for 4 15-minute sessions of track time.
no, i didn't pass anyone. they had the cars fairly spaced out. i had a z06 and a C6 (i believe) trying to chase me down the whole time.
and i spun out because i made the noob mistake of tapping the brakes as i had started to enter the turn.

I used to read a good deal of stories on people drag racing on streets.. It was ok, but lapping the S2000 is really something I'm looking forward to. This thing can enter corners so fast it's almost incredible for a little roadster. I have a video I'll put up in a few hours about comparing a Skyline to a 350Z, to a M3, an S2000 and a base boxster, all driven by japanese star drivers. They say in the video basically the same thing, the S2000 loves to hug corners.

it's definitely made to handle. I had those corvettes trying to chase me down for several laps. while a Z06 and C6 can hand an S2000 its ***, this course was so small you never got over 75mph. only twice during the whole track did I even get out of 2nd gear. the vettes simply have too much weight and are not nimble enough to overpower an S2000 on a tight track like this.
Nice vids...I bet that final drive ration helped a lot coming out of the turns huh? Saw you get a little swigglie. Seems like you could carry a little more speed through some of the turns, ur tires holding you back? As for the spin out, looks like u slammed on ur brakes, a little too hard while turning into that corner.
Btw whats scraping? Is ur car lowered?

no it's stock ride height. but when you're turning so hard that the car is body rolling, and then you hit a rough elevation change, something is bound to scrape. lol.
final drive ratio made it much easier to navigate the course in 2nd gear.
i'm sure i could have carried a bit more speed through some of the turns, but i'm learning more about the car and the course. with time it'll come.

yea, it sounds like u bottomed out in control in the first vid and in the second vid, u bottomed out as the hill dipped down then suddenly back up with a turn but ur wheel had not moved from the looks of it and when ur suspension rebounded, the car was already beginning to roll and it caused ur car to skid since there was a turn and the motion of ur car wanted to go forward.....but i dunno, i could be completely wrong...
people like you make me so jealous
and incase you haven't seen it already ..
S2000, M3, 350Z, and a Boxter racing
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=231393
and a skyline GTR as camera man -_-;
IMO the S2K should've taken it, or at least gave the Z a hell of a run

I've always wondered what would happen if the S2k rolled over. Would the driver's head hit the pavement or are there any security systems in place that deploy in the event of a rollover?
What about other cars, as far as you know, miatas for example?

good stuff
