Street tuning possible with car on blocks?

I know alot of people on here tune there cars a/f during runs on the street. I was thinking of putting the car up on blocks so that the wheels are off the ground. This would be beneficial to me because I don't have the help of others to work laptop while I drive so it is a bit dangerous while on public roads.I'm not going to spend money on a dyno to tune n/a when i'll be turboing in a couple months. My a/f is a little too rich under WOT so i'd like to tune it more precise. any issues i might run into with this? will the car act the same or will something get screwed up without the wheels touching the ground?

One, i think it would be kinda dangerous to put it up on blocks and then get on it, it may slip off and go out of control, also i do believe you would not get the same results by actually driving around or on a dyno since there would be friction doing both, i.e. the engine wouldnt have to work very hard to get up to speed as opposed to actually being on the road or a dyno which i belive has some resistance to simulate actual driving.

not blocks but jack stands? lol i think the car needs to feel actual load, ie the resistence from the ground and air.

yeah thats a bad idea. your car will be tuned for a situation like those high school physics problems; completly impossible conditions.
Thats just a bad idea. run rich for a while. you will live. just take it easy on flooring it. gas is expensive anyway!

Very bad idea. Your car will be running WFO WITHOUT a load! Next time you look at a dyno run, you will see two cylinders under the cars tires spinning real fast, that is the load.
