Why are'nt there any SI's in USA

I know this is probably a stupid quesiton but it's been on my mind. Why is it that in the past, the Civic SI's could be seen everywhere here in the states. But as far as the 2001 goes, all I've seen in the Member Rides section are from people in Canada. Is it an emissions thing or what's the deal. Could you buy one from Canada and bring it here. I know you all know the answer so don't go all crazy because I don't.
Thanx.

haha. Canadian cars just have different Badging. Si=EX SiR=Si. We have JDM style badging. Our 7th gen Si's only have 127hp, although they do have the rims that will be on the New Si/SiR hatch.

US TAGS
CIVIC DX, LX, EX(127 bhp, V-TEC), *SI (DOHC)

CANADA TAGS
CIVIC DX, LX, Si (127 bhp, V-TEC), SiR (DOHC)
(oh yea and the 1.7 EL 4DR 127 bhp V-TEC another version of the civic with different lights and stuff, basically the "high class" CIVIC)

Now looks dosen't the Canadian SiR sound right and better?
SiR is the closest you can get to a Type-R that's why it's Si-"R", it's shouldn't be just "Si"

i honestly think the US tagging systems is messed compared to CANADA got the right international tags

I AM CANADIAN!

Holy fvck. Let this die. Make a different thread or just PM those guys BREEZE, never bump a 3 year old thread. Obviously it has been a while since you visited, so you might want to read up and catch up.
