Acura...... no drive by wire, looks (exterior and interior), I dont like the digital speedo on the new Si (person preference), and seats are 4-5 point harness friendly.

That's a damn hard choice...I think they both look nice...06 SI might have some bugs...and you're right...I do like the older looks of the RSX...really don't like that digital speedometer on the new SI...hmmm...dammit...I can't decide...

Something tells me that Honda will milk the hype of the new SI into $25k pricetags. When I see what an LX is already going for, The SI will likely cost more than an RSX. At least initially, till the rush is over and the dealers stop marking them up.

Remember when the Miata first came out? People were paying as much as 6 grand over sticker just to be the first to get one.
I'll be watching. In 07 I'll either buy the SI, or last RSX. Depending on price.
The new SI just looks plain sick to me. I like ther RSX but the new SI looks sleek and well thats my new baby right there. Cant wait for it to come out in Dec. that would be one hell of a xmas present hint hint.

I think I am going to go with the Si. brand new car will only be about 1,500 more than a used type s. I want to get the habanero red pearl, gonna go to the dealer this week and talk to them about it
Have you actually gone to a dealer and looked at the 8thgen, cause I started to like it then, when I saw it in person I was disgusted.
Si is also signifigantly slower than type s. I am also not sure how your are going to install a turbo on the k20 in the small *** si engine bay. I am trying to convence my friend to:
1. not trade in his 04 2door accord, and just put a k20a2 head on it
2. not trade his car in for an si
3. get a 03-05 rsx-s

The rsx has more headroom
it has hatchback accesability
the 2005 models look stealth
The civic si has better performance
new chassis
new suspension(rsx still using previous civic design)
Better Ameneties including seats

Go for the new Si. Then when you don't like it, you won't be able to trade down to the awesome 04 RSX.
Personally, I've already decided on an 03-04 RSX. I saw the new 8th gen sedan on the streets (while evacuating for stupid Rita), and it's FUGLY.
