Rep Power: 0 Civic type-R to come to the US
check this out I was looking through the March 2002 issue of Motor Trend and on pg 24 there is a little news article that says the following "Crunching the numbers- Honda's Euro-market Civic Type-R
has the same 200-hp i-VTEC engine and six speed gearbox as the North American-market Acura RSX Type-S. Thats why we get the 160-hp five-speed Civic Si instead. But a 200-hp Civic hatchback is on the way, and it won't encroach on Acura's market-position supremacy becouse the 220-gp RSX Type-R will be imported here abuot the same time. Both should arrive within a year."
that is some very good news it better be true!

Rep Power: 0 I still have doubts on the RSX-R but at least its a possiblity considering there have been Integra-R's here.
Civic Type-R? Don't hold your breath. There hasn't been any here and the way Honda's going I don't think there gonna start.

Rep Power: 343 I just read the same thing on my issue of Motor Trend too...
they're (motor trend) pretty reliable in terms of their news, so I think they're coming, and if the RSX Type R is coming too, then there's no reason why the Civic Type R isn't going to come along too. I'm sure they'll sell it in a very small number though compare to the Type S and Si.

Rep Power: 0 It makes sense with the WRX here and the Evo VII and the WRX STI on the way and other auto makers selling high performance compacts Honda needs the Type-R's here to be competitive

Rep Power: 0 Dude Honda will NEVER bring over the Civic type-R and as far as an RSX-R mmm well that would be an Intgra type-R since they are the same car. Bringing the Civic-R here is not a sound business decision on Honda's part. Civic's here are know as economical cheap cars or at least Honda sees them as that. They say that most people are not willing to pay 20 something thousand for a civic. Someone asked what is replacing the prelude it's the RSX. Integras and civics have done more for Honda than the Prelude so the decided that would be what was to go. That's why they gave the Integra a face lift and more power.

Rep Power: 0 u on weed or something?
how can the rsx be replacing the lude and integra??
the rsx is the integra next generation
and either the new accord or the s2000 is the lude replacement. since s2000 had more sales than the prelude. thats why they decided to end the line of the ludes
as far as CTR...im not giving up on it. just gonna keep hoping for it.....u never know when these companies are gonna bring them
i never knew mitsu would bring the EVO lancer 7 or the subaru wrx?
u have to look at competition, ford has the svt and chrysler has that turbo neon!

Rep Power: 0 2cute is right and wrong.
WRONG : The RSX is not replacing the lude. Boo is correct its just the Teg with a name change. In Japan its still called the Integra.
RIGHT: The CTR aint comin over here. As much as Id like it to, it's just not gonna happen now. I'll be happy if the RSX-R makes it over here.
