[I]Civic vs Focus[/I], a [B]TRUE[/B] story!
For Civic enthusiasts everywhere, this story is just golden.
So, I was walking up to a friend's house, and literally up. It was quite a long uphill, and quite boring. Until... I see this pimped out Focus HB. Man! It had everything, the domestic racing stripe, racing stickers of companies I have never heard of, and the generic chinese scribble sticker along the front windshield. Hmm, well... THIS particular Focus had no problem staying on the ground. Massive aluminum wing on the top edge of the back windshield, and another at the bottom edge. It looked like it was meant for cheese grating or something.
Fake exhaust tip, colored lug nuts but stock rims... a lot more to add.
Anyways, this Focus pulls out of some other road, and turns onto the street I'm walking on, going downhill. This street has about 4 lanes; two up, two down. I start sh!tting my pants once I see ... a 2K1 NBP Civic, completely massaged. This thing had everything, but it was really subtle. The muffler was loud, but bearable. It was, not like the Focus, real. [IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG] Well, the Focus slows down, and honks. There are no other cars in sight. I bet the guy in the Civic was like, damn, this is going to be fun. They both slow down to about 10kph, and all of a sudden, they both accelerated hard right away. The Focus was loud, but I guess his car was weighed down by all that extra sheet metal, and extra stickers. The Civic was gone by the time the Focus went 100m.
I was put in such a good mood after that... you don't get to witness such good 455-wh00ping easily.

Rep Power: 0 No clue. From the sound of it, I would be tempted to say a turbo, but then I don't want to get in to the whole, "Turbo isn't out yet!" topic. No pics of it, I wasn't the driver. (although, I wish I was) I'ma gunna keep my eyes open looking for it though.

this means no turbo. turbos muffle the exhaust note by a LOT. As a matter of fact itll make a 5.7L LS1 V8 sound like a V6, so no, if thats the case no turbo.

The low ends Ford's don't seem to stick around too long. Remeber the Festiva, which after a few years led to the Aspire, which after a few more years led to the Focus. I wonder what will come next?

Rep Power: 0 Im sorry, but I dont think that a turbo would muffle the sound of the engine or exaust. If anyone else has info on this subject, please post. If anything, you would think it would make it louder.
