2002 ex or 2003 lx which better need help.

Hi all i was jsut wondering which car is better. these are my two choices so far. i am getting ride of my 93 for a newer civic. just want to know what is the real diff in them. i hear that the 02 has lsd and 03 doesn't. the prices are about the same so is milage. but the 03 lx is black which i really really like. but it doesn't have vtec does that really matter? one more question to anyone who has a lx did it come with a security system or keyless entry. both are 2 doors.

the civic LX's didn't come with keyless entry until 2004. the EX's have always had keyless entry. the civics have never come with a limited slip differential, sorry. the ex will have the moonroof, abs, keyless entry, and the vtec. (yes, it makes a little difference) i would go for the 02 ex...good luck...

in my opinion, if you can afford a 2006 Civic SI, that would be your best bet! but i dont know about your money situation andall...but a used 2002 RSX Type S might be for sale for round the same price as the civics'. i wish i waited and got a RSX t-S. but good luck on the right decision! btw..i've seen used 02 type s for like 12 or 13k in ATL...soo give them a look..holla!

the lx gets beter gas mileage. having a sunroof would be nice though. forget about vtec. its all hype, not even noticeable on our tiny engines. if it were me, i would pick the older ex because it has less miles on it per year than the 03.

lx gets better mileage on the freeway, but ex gets better mileage in the city. but the mileage differences are marginal. So here are the differences besides the ones already mentioned: the 03 has a more updated interior compared to the 02; the 02 ex has a larger stabilizer bar in the rear; 02 comes with 15 inch wheels while lx comes with 14; there an adjustable armrest in the 02 ex, the 03 lx has a fixed arm rest, this matters becuase some have complained about the fix arm rest inteferring with shifting; 03 lx has new tail lights; 03 lx might have a quieter cabin; 03 has adjustable rear headrest. there gauges are different in the 03 lx, some like it cuz it looks classy, others perfer the 4 guage pod layout in the 02 ex instead of the 3 guage pod layout. for the coupe, the ex comes with 6 speakers.

those are the things i could think of that are different. if both cars are in similar conditions, id take the 02ex.
