its not saying it tops out at 187. he said it tries to fly at 187. its says solid through 187 plus more... i would buy it just to bring it to the track =)
If that thing is real, the amount of fuel the car can carry would basically mean the car would make it down the driveway, half way across the block and then run out of fuel/gas/kerosene. Not to mention the fact that the heat might well melt portions of the car.
