Make sure you know how to get your car going on an incline. If you can handle that, the roads aren't that bad. I wasn't lowered the last time I was down there, but I don't remember the roads being particularly bad.

ok its a stick. so ill be fine. then i will probably be in 3 or 4th the whole time. scince you have been, did you take your civic? is it an auto? if its a stick did you have to drive in 3rd the whole time? just wondeing.

My car isn't auto, but we had my dad's down there. His clutch is waaaay touchier than that of any Civic I've driven and I never had any trouble getting the car going. When you're in certain parts (we stayed in these cabins that are in some crazily steep hills/mountains) you'll have to keep it in a low gear (3rd in my dad's car was the highest I got in the hills, but his is a 6-speed so I don't know what that'd be on a Civic) but I never really saw anywhere that you had to park on an incline. When you're in the towns, the inclines aren't bad at all. Gatlinburg's roads are fine as far as potholes go, so have fun
