I don't know why people buy the cars they think they see winning on Nascar. The actual cars and the cars there are so different that the only similarities are the look and shape.

That is sad to see a race track go like that, but then again, I really haven't seen that one because I don't watch Nascar. If that were something like Lagna Seca or something, I'd be totally pissed...

have you ever raced off the bumper of somebody at 200mph while weaving throught traffic??? it isn't as easy as you are making it seem it is.

And no I don't watch it or like it but I give the drivers respect they got some skill, also considering that Tony steqart used to be an open wheel racer before he went to nascar, and he still does compete in F1 competitions.

Nascar is stupid as hell but Im sure that the Alanta race track was used for many other racing events. Nascar is just televised the most.
Example fontana Califonia speedway
Ferrari cup, vintage racing, along with import racing etc etc all use that nascar track because of its inner course layout.
The same goes with several other race tracks. The death of a race track isnt a good thing!

As for Nascar itself its the most stupid sport concieved....
I wallowed in pain when I was watching Le Manns 24 hours and it got interupted for a Nascar news update..I dont know whats worse at times Nascar on the speedchannel 24/7 or the History aka Hitler channel showing reruns of the battle of the buldge 24/7!
I dont find Nascar entertaining because
The cars only make left hand turns
They are all regulated/ they are all the same damn car just about

That along with the american CART series is gay! That sport is highly regulated in the wrong areas as well! They regulate weight/ horsepower and aerodynamics! Now I think about it the only good racing sport trully american was stolen from the rest of the world! Thats the American Le manns, its also the fastest growing motor sport in the US they say. Of course its no where near Nascar! I will laugh when toyota enters nascar and Honda because it will happen soon!
Anyways back to CART... Formula one is the most regualted racing sport in the world but its still more fun to watch. why? the cars are only regulated by tires and little other fields... They can produce as much hp as they want and mess with aerodynamics as they please. Obvious show in this is how Ferrari annilates everyone on the straights! Cars have something to do with the race not just the driver...

NASCAR ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so back off. i guese it just something you have to grow up on. it dosent have a bunch of turns and what not, but its about being there; hearing the cars, talking to the fans and cheering on your favorite driver. God doesn't hate NASCAR. Its a sport where you got to be there to really enjoy all it has to offer.

no skill is taking a car to 233mph than back down to 45 in about 4 secounds into a sharp right hand turn while pulling close to three gs!

Actually I define skill as being able to read a newspaper while dealing with serious pain on the toilet. Or maybe an astronaut, they have the real skill u must be talking about. I am still confused and am not getting any clarity it must be from all of this hard thinking, and serious debate. And of course i forgot nascar is gay!!!

This argument is the same everytime......Nascar can be entertaining to some......to me nascar is like golf, boring as hell but it takes great skill, they do take left turns, but they do so in huge heavy cars 80% as fast as F1 with almost no downforce compared to F1 and way more weight...so if you think its easy go be jeff gordon (sorry that all I know of the sport), go make millions after millions in salary because if it's so easy to turn left then you must be fully qualified to do so.

NASCAR is boring IMO because it's so slow. IRL cars run the same tracks as the NASCAR stock cars (if you can even call them stock cars anymore). and IRL cars do it almost 50mph faster or more on the same track.

watch an IRL race then watch a nascar race and you'll be like "jesus christ these nascar races are slow"
