The New Mazda 5 is Available...

Was out car shopping with a friend today, stopped and looked at the G35C at the infiniti near the Mazda dealer, and thought I'd stop in at Mazda and say hi to a couple of friends, and low and behold....the Mazda 5 is on the showroom floor. Think Scion XB competition. It's a car-van-thing. Back doors on both sides slide in and out like on a van and lock in place. Interior is remniscent of the latest Nissan Quest van crossed with a Mazda 3. Headlights are kinda cool, tail lights are funky. I suppose it's a good alternative for the Scion crowd, but not my cup of tea. The showroom floor car was going for 22,000 MSRP.

No, it will run along side the MPV from what I understand. If you see this car in person it looks like a mini me of the MPV...it's really strange...in pics it looks like a van, but in person it's Scion XB sized...

My friend saw one in DC. They are a mini-mini van like the Scion xA. They looked bigger in pics until you saw one up close.

F'ck that ish! I'm just waiting for the end of this pseudo-JDM-van craze so all the mindless sheep who've bought those piece of **** xAs, xBs, Elements, etc, will be stuck with their absolutely ridiculous and hideous vehicles and pissed off that they bought in to the fad.

That is awesome. It is supposed to be a smaller van, similar to original Oddy's and original "minivans". My mom wants something like that, not quite an SUV, but larger then a small sedan. Of course, she doesn't like the look of the Element, so we'll probably look at the 5 in a couple of years/months.
