minor exhaust questionn and fyi

im a honda tech at a dealership in oklahoma i have a 2005 vp coupe 5 speed on a 75 shot the car is compleatly stock less the air box removal and axel back removal and a few diy's (mostly subtle body mods) i can buy brand new ex exhaust manifols for 60 bucks a peice and was wondering how much better an actual header flows as opposed to the stock tube style manifold and were there any significant gaains from a aem type intake

No significant gains with any headers on our cars...intake? hmm, you'd probably feel the most with a CAI and it won't even be that much either...

both dont do much, but the best is both together, but an actual ex exhaust, not just the header

if your running FI (nitrous), yes the bolt ons can benefit you much more rather than running n/a.

an header/intake/exhaust will come in handy when shooting the nitrous. i think the EX exhaust set up performs better than the lx/dx/etc. but you wont be able to just slap on the EX header onto your non-ex civic. you would have to replace the downpipe/cat/exhaust as well because your cat converted is placed right on the header itself. the ex cat is replaced before the exhaust and after the downpipe...

how does an aftermarket EX full race header (header/downpipe/replaces cat) and a nice aftermarket EX exhaust? im sure you would have to toggle with the o2 sensors but i can bet itd be worth it when running that nitrous.

if you dont want to replace anything with EX parts, i believe kamakzie* makes an header for non-ex model civics... and im sure there are exhaust that are non-ex model as well.
