i painted my light housings black to go for a JDM look like 4mos back, now i see more and more peeps doin it, which is kinda cool cause that means i had a good idea, but damn, i dont want everyone to do it like altezzas have been done to death and back again. pleeeaaaase lets not make another :Altezza-like: trend!
I want my car to be at least somewhat unique

Rep Power: 0 well, i dont know why mikes gotta be mean about it. i was just hoping we could preserve some uniqueness in peoples cars. im not tryin to be an *** peeps, just wanna have a car that people like, as well as myself, im not sayin that no one is alowed to do it, thats not fo me to control, im just hopin to control an outbreak. i respect people tryin new stuff and tryin to be different. i just wish some others would try to start their own ideas. like one guy, hes doin red housings on his black civ, hes strivin to be different, and i give him props

Rep Power: 0 what the fu*k...i guarantee that half of the things you've done to your car, well sorry to break your heart, but someone else has already done them too, you dumba$$....if you don't want the compliment of others doing what you've done to your 2k1, then get off a site were you share ideas and pics with 4000 other people....move to butfu*K idaho, and hide your car in a barn were you can work on it in secrecy......

Rep Power: 0 Come on guys dont go nuts over it, sooner or later someone would come up with a DIY or be selling them on E-Bay so in the end it would be all the same.

Rep Power: 0 I know everyone here is being mean about this, but they are right. Not about being mean, but the fact that if you wanted to have something unique, you shouldn't post pics of it here. And just because you did it does not mean it is original, I was thinking about it the day I bought the car.
By your logic, since I was thinking about it the day I bought my car, which was before you thought about doing it, then that means YOU copied off ME!
Do you see my logic here? I was kidding about the previous paragraph, but on the Internet NOTHING is sacred. NOTHING.
For a GREAT EXAMPLE: THIS SITE IS ABOUT SHARING, it is BILLED as the premier site for 2K1 Civic owners to SHARE information... yet SOMEONE who owns this stinkin site won't share how he mounted his spare tire underneath the car rather than within the trunk. But it doesn't really matter, because I looked close enough and it is simple. When tons of people asked sed person, he responded with 'Uhh my installer doesn't want me sharing secrets' when all the guy did was drill a freaken hole and use the same stupid post and gold wingnut thingy to mount it upside down rather than right side up.

Rep Power: 0 ehehhehhehehehehehehehhehehehehehehehhehehehehhehe hehehehe..... Sorry, but I did copy you.. a while back though.. I'm sorry, I just seriously busted out laughing reading that. My mom has a 95 Escort wagon.. red. No frills. I drove that S.O.B. for about a year before I bought my Jimmy. I took that thing out playing paintball once and had 5 people with me.. I got it doing 110 down hill.... Okay, I'm going to go laugh some more on the floor. See? nothing is sacred. I even copied this guy.. ahahhah.. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAH.... (etc etc etc)
Oh, a real quick note. I think that in order to be unique, you should do something completely out of control that some people think is stupid or crazy or not worthwhile. Like me putting 2 computers in a car and networking them. I haven't seen anyone else doing that.. BTW, I'm not going to go with the 2 15" screens. They're going to take up way too much room for that lil' car. Anyone wanna buy 2 desktop flat screen monitors? I'll sell em' for $450 for both. I need money for some 6.4's..

Rep Power: 0 who cares who copies who.... if everyone cared about uniqueness then there would be like a billion different models of of every make to suite the "uniqueness" needs of every driver in the world.... bottom line is.. don't trip to be an original.. you wanna be original.... just don't try to fix up your car... lol.... nobody seems to not be doing that
