I heard someone actually bought one of those, ending up dyno'ing it and it only came out to be 220 whp or something like that

For that price range I'd go with this...
GM Performance Parts ZZ572 C.I.D. 620 HP Engine Assemblies
Engine Assembly, Crate Engine, Chevy ZZ572, 620 HP, Aluminum Heads, Each

The engine you picked would be my choice for the Civc though. I beleive that's what "Cheesefrog "and "Turboed" are using?

From what I understand it comes down to having the original emission equipment and the approval of an inspector. Basically the inspector makes or breaks your $$$$$ investment.
Too risky for my blood, sweat, and bank account.
I sure wish my car was newer

I posted this engine like two years ago. Cheesefrog, if memory serves me, is running a B18 bored out to a B20. I don't know who "Turboed" is.
And if I ever buy a muscle car, I'm dropping a 572ci, 720hp, 685tq crate engine into it. My Vette/Camaro/TA/whatever will be insane.
^ no bore ...
this is his car/setup http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=411335
last I heard, he went ls/vtec

Yeah Growing Up In A Hick Town(rio Linda, Ca) That Just Doesnt Look Like Its Worth 12,500 When You Consider The Price Of A 350 Or A 351. But I Am A Redneck Before I Got My Civic I Thought Everyone In A Import Was A ***. Man Its Hard To Not Be A Redneck.

hm, I'm gonna be swapping soon, but running factory exhaust ... not a civic exhaust though.

also 220 on a dyno sounds right, the 275 is what the motor makes.
