I heard someone actually bought one of those, ending up dyno'ing it and it only came out to be 220 whp or something like that

For that price range I'd go with this...

GM Performance Parts ZZ572 C.I.D. 620 HP Engine Assemblies
Engine Assembly, Crate Engine, Chevy ZZ572, 620 HP, Aluminum Heads, Each

Just a question....don't you guys in the states have some law against swaping previous generation engines into newer cars?

lol I think you would need a whole new front clip and drivetrain. I must confess I had my 74 Camaro in mind for that.

The engine you picked would be my choice for the Civc though. I beleive that's what "Cheesefrog "and "Turboed" are using?

I've tried to find out the laws on that here in AZ, however I have heard mixed statements on this...

From what I understand it comes down to having the original emission equipment and the approval of an inspector. Basically the inspector makes or breaks your $$$$$ investment.

Too risky for my blood, sweat, and bank account.

I posted this engine like two years ago.

Cheesefrog, if memory serves me, is running a B18 bored out to a B20. I don't know who "Turboed" is.

And if I ever buy a muscle car, I'm dropping a 572ci, 720hp, 685tq crate engine into it. My Vette/Camaro/TA/whatever will be insane.

lol....I love how the list is such a dream list of parts then the exaust is stock dx, I could see that choice if it was NA but a turbo I would have guessed somthing custom.......but then again I don't build 400+hp motors and they do

yeah ... I wouldn't want more then 350whp though ... it just doesn't do anything for fwd except make you slower. (on the street)

hm, I'm gonna be swapping soon, but running factory exhaust ... not a civic exhaust though.

quiet = cops stay away from me

i believe thats a California law and doesnt apply elsewhere.

also 220 on a dyno sounds right, the 275 is what the motor makes.
