Z06 C6 - PICS first hand!!!!!!!!!!!
yep, saw the first Z06 C6 at a corvette convention in Montana today.
Pics below. - sorry they are so dark, it was pitch black outside, and no good lighting-camera. I just used what I had with me.
pretty cool to see it up close. The parking lot had about 150+ corvettes from all different ages. A few late 50s vettes up to the new Z06. The convention just happened to be going on at the hotel I stopped at for the night.

Rep Power: 0 honestly, who cares about corvettes. they are everywhere, and yes who cares. if you want some sexy interior why dont you look at the HSC 
. just messin, but really i think honda can do a far better job with interiors than chevy.

the Z06 came out a long time ago. The 500 hp version hasn't come out yet. That isn't the new one. I've seen those out all over. I know this because I have a friend that works at a GM dealership, Master Tech and he does all the PDI's on all the new cars and trucks. They won't be available til Aug.

who cares honestly? The Vette has lost a lot of it's mystique cuz they've started putting the engine in some of their new Crapillac's. The CTS-V has had numerous powertrain related problems and I'm wondering if that's because the Vette's engine has become 'massed produced' like all the other shiat they put out there.

This is the new 2005 C6 Z06, not the C5 (2000-2004). The previous C5 Z06 has a 5.7L LS6 V8 putting out 405 hp, the new C6 Z06 has a 7.0L LS7 V8 putting out 500 hp. The C6 Z06 has yet to hit dealerships, and that is, infact, the new one.

Rep Power: 0 0-60 in 3.9secs does it really matter what the interior looks like? Hands pretty much anything it's *** within 40K (North America/In it's category). Bleh a step forward from the c5 yes, feel the interior and you see it's still the same craptastic plastic w/ new design and screen. But props for the 7.0 LS7 500hp beast and it's good to know lingenfelter is still in the tuning process and theyre already 951hp/950tq so far

Rep Power: 0 Its still the cheapest bang for the buck you can get, good engine, handling, appearance (exterior), they had to skimp somewhere, the interior is a good place to start, you can't have everything you want for dirt cheap, its still a hell of a deal and the new Z06 will likely be insane.
The Corvette forum points on cost savings also:
- The rear suspension uses a transverse leaf springs (Model T technology..)
- The Rear Bumper (around the tail lights) pushes in about an inch
- The Center console is hard plastic
Still an attractive car to look at.
