2002 Honda Civic EX
Member's,
I'm a tad bit new to this site and I just wanted to introduce the car I MIGHT be Purchasing three days from now... Starting off 2002 White Honda Civic Coupe EX. Manual. Tan Interior. Has Approx. 79,000 Miles. all Highway. OEM Rear Spoiler, and OEM Foglights. OEM Lip spoiler Kit 'Front Sides and Rear'
Aftermarket's
Sportline 'Red' Racing Drop. 2.0 Front. 2.25 Rear.
Motegi MR-12 Racing Rims. 'Silver'
Fuzion Tire's 40' Series.
Full Cat-back GReddy Exhaust.
OEM standard fit JDM Dual Halo Projector Headlamp's.
I live in Rochester MN, And a Private party want's $11,900 for the car in Full.
A Dealership 'Tom Kadlak Honda' Has a Car BONE stock. Nothing but Window Tint, A few less mile's. and asking a Firm $17,000.
Any opinion's Im open for full.
Now the fact of a Honda being a Honda, Im not disputed on the Miles.

both overpriced. 79K is alot of miles for a 2 year old car. You can negotiate them down a whole lot more, but if I had to choose, I'd go for the one at the dealership. Less miles, and modded cars are not good cars to buy...it's probably been abused.

buying a modded car is usually a bad idea unless you know the person. Most likely he probably raced the crap out of it and wants to sell it before it breaks down. My friend did the same thing with his suburu.
17k is too much for a new civic, unless that the price with taxes and registration and is a automatic.
go to www.edmunds.com
its a good place to get prices on what most people are paying. If you can wait, then just wait till the 06 civics come out and you'll get a really good deal on the 05's, considering the 8th gen civic is going to be vastly superior to the 7th gens.

Yeah.... too much for both, by a longshot. Sorry. I suggest you read this forum a little before you get your expectations up. The 7th gen is a nice car, but it has very little potential for mods. If you want ANY speed, you are looking at the wrong car. If you need a reliable commuter, it's great. I would NOT recomend buying a used one. Also read up on the transmission issues. Your best bet is an 05 fresh off the lot, since your used car quote is basically for a new car. AND you get a warranty. If you want something to tune, look for an older gen civic, not this one.
