best appoxy / glue
best appoxy / glue
hey guys, i'm still in school so moneys kinda hard to come by, especially like 800 bucks for a new front bumper. I ended up putting a medium crack on the front bumper but just on the black lower grille part. It's somehting you'd only notice if your looking right at that part but it annoys me as hell.
what would be the best glue/appoxy for fixing a crack like this?

not sure what kinda "epoxy" you want but i went to home depot, and got this epoxy that comes in a light blue tube, kinda small, its in the glue isle. it works good cuz i use it to hold on my urethane side skirts and they haven't fallen off in like a yr or two now. there stuck on real good. and its water proof so not problems at all. i think its called seal-all or something like that. just read the back of the tubes and find something for urethane or i guess fiberglass if u have that and make sure its waterproof.

You don't want "Seal-All" (thats an actual product and brand of the same name) to glue plastic back together.
You can use any plastic-safe epoxy, some of them actually will dry black, which is to your advantage because you don't have to paint it. if its just like 1 spoke of the grill and its cracked you can probably just do it with Duco cement or model glue, or if its just a simple crack you can use plastic weld like Tentax 7R or some other product like that. There's 100 ways to fix plastic, all of which work well.
If the bumper itself is cracked (like the painted part), fix it from the INSIDE, its a lot easier to hide excess glue if you can't see it. Then just either touch up the paint on the outside or leave it alone if it dries well.
