Help Me Decide!!!!
Ok ok...Well my car is wasting ALOT of gas...so now I have some options..get another car that saves gas, looks good and is fast. Ok so now I have these options.
1)Acura RSX type S
2)RSX-8
and I was wondering about the Subaru WRX...not STi. Just WRX. Is that any fast?? And is it worth buying? Im also interested in a Civic... dunno EX LX or anyof that but a Civic like you all have a 7th gen. Which should I buy and which is good all around?? It be nice if I can get hp numbers and gas miles also. HELP!!..
You guys post cars that think fit this catagory too.

Well to tell you the truth any of those car's have better mpg than my 5.0. So my options are still open. Oh yeah I forgot to post and state that im looking at used cars. 2001-2004 cars. So I still need help.

5.0, give us more, what are your targets for $$$ to spend, what kinf of MPG are you looking for, how long do oyu want to keep the car (i.e. reilabilty). More info please!

Sounds to like the WRX is going to be what you want. It'll be better than your 5.0 on gas, but not great compared to the civic. WRX's aren't the fastest things out there, but they can get up and move when you wan them to, (look for a manual). The only thing I don't like is the looks of the car, but that's just me. Subaru is generally pretty reilable, but with the AWD system and a turbo, when they do break down, it can be very costly.
My suggestion would be a 2000-2001 Acura Integra GSR, or even Type-R (Type-R's are often really hard to find though and are much more costly for the money, plus you have a 5.0 so you like torque, the type-R has very little) The only problem you will have with a GSR is that you really need to "beat" the motor to get the perforamcne you are looking for. As is the case with most Honda's, they really don't make much power untill you hit higher RPMS, compared to your 5.0 you will think you are beating the engine, but really you are not. These cars can be had with low milage and in good condition for around 10-15k and be made very fast or into a great handling car, what ever you want. It's a very veristile car.
This si the car the RSX replaced by the way. So the RSX is nice, but more expensive.
To find one, I would jus use www.autotrader.com, there you can find ones in a specific area around you and it has the nice features of telling you what type of engine it has and all that stuff.
Hope that helps

Lancers are okay... Mitsu's in general tend to have electrical problems, I'm sure a 100 people are going to argue that. But on the other side, it's not really a fast car, probablt as fast as a civic, but worse on gas.

I would love that, to bad my insuance per a year would be almost what I paid for the car.
Really though, those are good cars if you don't go put a turbo the size of texas on iit.

Well, I just checked real quick, for me to replace my 2005 F-150 super duty with a 1996 turbo Supra would be a raise of 4450, the F-150 is 1,600 a year, so that's just over 2k a year to insure a 9 year old car.
Go with a WRX, I love mine.
They are great cars with fantastic build quality and reliability. Gas milage is pretty decent, I average about 22mpg and thats city driving. Stock, the boost doesnt kick in till about 3100rpm, so its easy to putter around town out of boost and save some gas. But when you are racing, contrary to popular believe, there is no turbo lag. If you launch in boost, the remaining gears will always been in the powerband and the turbo will be fully spooled.
And like your 5.0, you can expect great returns if you do decide to mod it. A full turbo back exhaust and ECU reflash will net you 55-60hp to the wheels for roughly $1200-1400. Throw on and up-pipe in addition to the TBE and you can see your turbo fully spooled by 2700 or maybe a tad bit lower. So for $1500+\- you are going to be making around 300hp (230ish awhp) with great reliability and delivery.
I'm 21 with a clean driving record and insurance is about $180/m on a WRX, compared to the $200 my parents were paying for my civic.
