Does this mean Dodge is going to put a powerful engine in the Caliber, but not call it a Caliber, and then when non-"non-Caliber" drivers call it a Caliber, the "non-Caliber" drivers will get pissed?

Old news posted here before, but I'll still say some stuff about it. It is pretty cool considering they don't want to compete with the other sedans that are doing well. They're offering a hatch that they will most likely sell in Europe also because hatches are popular there. I want them to offer a turbo charged AWD version, just to offer that extra edge that other cars don't have, yes that would mean approaching WRX style, but the WRX doesn't really have any competition in the small AWD segment besides the Matrix.
I'd sport it if it were great, not just mediocre. Also, it would be awesome if they made that AND the Avenger concept so they would look like mini-me!...

"The new cars will, according to an exclusive Allpar source, come with a CVT (continuously variable transmission), supplied by Honda!, but with a computer programmed to mimic tradictional automatic transmissions, so customers are comfortable with the feel."
so dodge is putting in 4 shift points and when it shifts you can feel the jolt? id prefer a smooth transition of ratios.

you guys notice the projected power output of the engines...
1.8 liter 140 125 169
2.0 liter 150 140 190
2.4 liter 170 165 224
2.4 turbocharged 235? ? ?

There will be a SRT version it says in the second link. And If you look at the dimensions they are mostly all smaller than the neon. It just looks big because of the shape I think. Don't like it I don't think it's any better than a neon. It's just a small econobox that looks like a SUV. Now they also said that all three varients of the car will come with FWD and AWD. If they put AWD on the SRT verson then that would be a WRX killer, I think.
