Engine Mods worth it on a 02 LX?
Engine Mods worth it on a 02 LX?
I would really like to add some horsepower to my '02 LX coupe, but i have heard mixed opinions. I did not want to get too crazy. I was just thinking about getting a short Intake with a heat shield and full exhuast.
My question is, does anyone have and actual dyno results from these upgrades? Is it even worth it? I was thinking about getting the Injen Intake, but not sure on the exhaust. I want to base my purchase on dyno results or 1/4 mile times and not just feeling. "well, it feels faster"
I searched high and low in the forums and did not find anything.
Thanks

Naaaah. You won't get what you are looking for with just bolt-ons. The ONLY way to make the 7th gens faster is: Turbo, Engine swap, or hit terminal velocity on the way off a tall cliff.
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

If anything you will lose low-end torque and be slower. honda exhausts are very well designed for backpressure and breath exactly enough to keep everything running well and powerfully. So modifying by adding an intake and exhaust to get horsepower is a ricer myth for the civic, D17 at least.
