Muffler on the...Left side?
I was taking my girlfriend home last night and I noticed a silver 7th gen Civic parked on the side of the road. As I was passing it I did a double take and noticed the muffler was on the left side instead of the right. I actually backed up to make sure it was a Civic, and made sure that I saw it correctly.
It was a Civic, and the muffler was on the left side. The muffler looked stock and if it hadn't been about midnight I would have gone and woken the dude up to find out what was up with it.
I'm not a car buff, so I don't know much about this stuff. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

If the bumper had the cutout for the muffler tip on the left side too and if it was a sedan, then maybe someone imported one from Japan? Was the steering wheel on the right side too? If the bumper wasn't cut out on that side, then it was a muffler job done by someone that was insane.

Well, as much as you'd like to blame the drugs I was clean at the time
I didn't think to look at the bumper, so I don't really remember. But I can tell you that the steering wheel was on the left side. Maybe I'll head back there and see if I can get some pics of it.

Ford Focus?
I'd like to give you more credit than mistaking a focus for a civic, but they have their exhaust on the right, and i cant see why someone would go to the trouble to switch around their STOCK exhaust....heh

I don't think that too weird, I have my exhaust running on the right side of my civic. It actually comes out on the right, loops up (infront of the rear bumber and over the trunk), and goes through the back window into the car. This way everyone in my car can enjoy the ricey sound and smell of my muffler from closer up. Then after I came down fron the opium rush i realized what I'd done. I don't know, I guess when you smoke opium like sparty does, you make simple mistakes like that.
