Why don't JDM cars have Japanese names?

I was thinking about this when I was watching a video I had. How come JDM cars dont ahve the car name in Japanese letters or something? Why are they all in normal letters instead of Japanese?

Actually, that is just so Americans can understand it. Their letters are in Japanese. Mostly Kanji for Americanized names, but since it is easier to sell/associate with if it were in English, they sell it in English.

i.e. Integra is written in Japanese characters on the HOnda website, but on the car itself, it is written in English letters.

Also, a lot of people like things that are imported especially the Japanese. They like names that are in English. Civic looks better than the Japanese translation for it and so on and so forth.

Vantage should not be trusted
i like calling cars by chassis codes, it narrows down exactly wat your talking about, so instead of saying a black civic hatchback ( which can cover over 20 years of cars) u can say EF,EG,,EK,EP and such, or even go further and say like EF9's and such for a specific year. it also is a way to weed out people who dont know anything about cars when ur at the racetrack. Like the guy that had a built LS/Vtec in a 1997 Hatch running 15.2's last weekend. Then i said i had a b18a non-vtec running 13.8's, turned around and laughed.
