why does everyone hate chrome?
why does everyone hate chrome?
just asking i see the majority of people here dont have chrome and always critize against it... why is it? is it because its expensive? what looks best on the 7th gen in ur opinion? hyper silver? black? chrome? etc..
some chrome looks okay, like racing chrome rims.. however if someone has really nice chrome rims on a car like a civic.. but, for example, why would you put 4,000 spinners or whatever on a 15,000 car? Why not just buy a better car in the first place? It's like your trying to make your car look "gansta" and luxurious when its not.. on the other hand if you have like a 7 series bmw or something, then sure, chrome looks nice on it.

I think chrome should be reserved for luxury cars.
That is when it looks the best.
When you see a brand new s500 with chrome stock rims it looks good.
When you see a honda accord with stock chrome rims (or any chrome rims for that matter). It doesn't look right IMO.

I think it looks annoying and it distracts people. If I could, I'd just shine a really bright HID into the eyes of a driver of a chromed out car driving during the day time.
Too much chrome is bad and annoying. Chrome on vehicles that didn't have chrome in the first place, just looks weird.

i think chrome rims can look good on our civic if its tasteful. something like a classic 17 inch 5 spoke rim. but usually when i see chrome on a civic it is soemthing that belongs on low rider or soemthing.. like dimond cut patterns and nasty looking stuff like that. i have a chrome lip on my black rims, thats enough chrome for me.
This guy obviously is old school.. even how he talks. "omg lol chrome looks good on anything man... bling blingggg"
Chrome is out of style. There are only a couple rims that ive seen that look good in chrome. there is alot of crap out there. Dont just get chrome rims cuz theyre chrome, look around. I think chrome would look better if we had some chrome moldings on our cars, like the ones from Asia or something( which luxurious cars have)

People hate on chrome because usually the rims are some wack style that belong on a truck or an suv. I had chrome on my vic, but they were 17" 7 spokes, so they actually looked good. I got rid of them though because I needed the money and i was getting sick of the bling, rather have some nice silver or gunmetals.

I don't like it cause it causes cooling inconsistancies in your car. For instance cast iron, aluminium, and chrome all heat up and cool off at different rates, 1 more metal means 1 more cooling difference.

Chrome is hated because the only people that put it on civics are mexicans (no offense). They don't even get chrome rims either, they get chrome hub caps. I saw some spanish guy with hubcap spinners. And all that other stuff too, chrome doesn't belong on a hooked up civic. Hooked up civics aren't meant to be luxurious. They're meant to be mean and look fast. Plus it doesn't go with any color except black.

I just think chrome looks ghetto unless it's on a classic car. Even If I had an SUV or a low rider truck I would bust out some nice black wheels with a chrome lip
this is the only thing that chrome looks good on....a classic:
