Does anyone here know how much it costs to get a set of rims anodized(sp?)? The thought had crossed my mind but ive never looked into it. Also what kind of shops do this?

i want mines to be gunmetal........ because my silver coating on my of of my rim is pealing.......... do yall know how to get it done?

Are we talking about anodizing here, or powdercoating? Powdercoating is what is done to rims to change the color. Anodizing is something done to aluminum typically to change heat conductivity properties, or something like that.

I had parts of my paintball gun anodized. Yes, anodizing is coloring. It's kind of like a paint that doesn't look like paint. It looks real nice. I don't know how much it would be to do 4 rims though.

Technically you can DIY. All you need is some kind of coloring, a car battery, and an alkaline solution. I think. Someone posted a DIY not too long ago. Search the net, I'm sure there's stuff out there. That is if you want to try DIYing it.
