I had 17" rims about a week or so before I got the springs and I tell you it looked wack. After I took it to my friends shop to put on the final touches, he lowered the lift, the car sat down on the ground and it looked 100x better. You'll still have wheel gap with 17's on stock springs, also depending on the tire height it is, mine are 205/40/17, get lowering springs, you'll be glad you did and people won't clown you.

If you aren't going to lower the car, then 18's are the way to go. Try a 215-40 or a 215-45 profile tire. It will fill the wheel well and you don't have to worry about bending your rims!

I went through 2 sets of wheels before I raised the profile from 35 to 45!

well it does´t look as bad as I thought, I would lower it, but the problem is my father, he doesn´t want to lower it, he´s lowered many of his cars, and he says it f*cks up your suspension

The rims would look great, that is if you lower your car to give it that aggresive look. Keeping it stock would make it look funny.

They look bad because he is running 40 series low profile tire. Go up to a 50 or 55 and you might be able to get away with not lowering it. 16s are fine as long as you have plenty of sidewall to fill the wheel well. If you get low profile 16's, then ya it would look pretty nasty.
