it gets very hot and im wondering how loud i can crack up the volume before blowing them out

The only problem is that the stupid thing does'nt push very hard. It needs an amp or something.

well, I just took an 8 hr road trip down to tennessee and found out that if you play your stock CD player at well over half volume for the whole time, it will only run about 3 1/2 hours before it stops playing and says it's hot...bummer...
