A few questions about the ride of my 02 Civic.
A few questions about the ride of my 02 Civic.
Hi,
I think that my civic rides too high, and that the seats are most likelly causing this. Is there anyway, besides the manual adjustments , to make the stock seats shorter then they came stock? If not, how many have replaced their seats because they feel they are placed much too high in their civic? Was it hard to do?
Also, it seems like the car is slighly higher in the back than in the front, is this my imagination. It seems like my seat pushes me forward and it is very uncomfortable.

Yeah, this is only my second car, the 99 being my first. I just dont like to look like a nerd in my car, all high like im too tall for it. Have you ever driven an 99-00 civic? Now thats a nice ride, not only is the seat lowe, but the dash/hood is higher up on the front windshield, so people cant see u as much. I really miss my 99
Vic's almost done... thats sorta depressing...

I always felt taller in 96-00 coupes than I do in my 01. I believe there is less headroom all around, especially in the back. If you're so concerned with how cool you look, you shouldn't have bought a Civic. Try tilting the seat back, keeping one hand on your shifter, and supporting your body on the center console. You'll look amazing, I promise.

um, springs were like $125 shipped (ebay) as for install I Did It Myself, spring clamps arent that expensive and the install is painless... when putting on the new springs, i didnt even need to clamp them... it took me like half an hour to an hour per end (front/rear) I did the front on one day and rear on the next, you wanna talk about shifting forward lol
edit: I found a newer rear pic... kinda angled, but may give you a better Idea...
