Okay check this! Im at work handling my business and I hear that one of the employees is paging over the intercom for the owner of a white car with AEM and Progress stickers on the side to come to the front! I removed all of my decals so they didnt know what make or model car it was! so i get up to the front and the employee who paged me told me that a customer with an RV parked next to me in the parking lot broke my rearview mirror off the passenger side door! i was like what the...! So I get out there and this country soundng guy with a rather nice RV actually is smack up against the passenger side of my car and the side view mirror is laying shattered on the ground! His RV had about a two fist sized hole where apparently my mirror got lodged into the side of his RV and he then proceeded to rip it off! So I exchanged insurance with him and what not and he apologized and we went our separate ways! Thank goodness for honest people! Ohh and later i was looking at it again and I noticed a foot wide dent that stretched about halfway along the door! Ohh well Im goin to the shop next month to get my body kit molded so i figured id just have the insurance cut me a check and ill order the new mirror and pay for the repairs with the check! This incident reaffirms the fact that no matter where your car is, it is not safe!

in case he denys to pay for the bill/estimate. if no, type out a verbal agreement/contract stating he was at fault for the damages done to your vehicle. be specific when typing it out.

it wasnt a moving accident and i didnt want to call the police cuz my mirror broke off! I've got his drivers license number and all that plus we both have state farm insurance! Yeah Ill be there on Sunday, broken mirror, dented door and all!

Been there before. You're right though. At least the guy was honest enough to stick around and let you know what happened and exchange insurance. Had that happen to my first Civic back in '90. Didn't have the luxury of someone owning up to their mistake.

I usualy try to grap the end parking sport next to a tree or bush or somewhere where no one can park. I try and park as close as I can to give the other side as much space as possible. People love to swing their doors open when they get out of their car and if they think no one is watching chances are they wont leave a note telling you they hit your car.
