Ive been just browsin around lookin at pics of a bunch of different cars, and I wanted to get a little idea of what everyone's opinion was on whether you'd rather have a Crazy Widebodied Show Car, or a Clean Sleek Hot Street Car???
The reason I ask is because it seems looking through a bunch of different websites, that there is a pretty even amount of Crazy Show Cars vs Hot Street Cars.....
I personally would rather have something thats nice and clean and simple....

i used to like the crazy show cars, but it is just a waste of money and you can't drive the damn things on the street cuz it will get scratched or dirty.

Now, i prefer a clean car with some minor exterior mods just to stand out from a stock vehicle.

I think a lot of people here want to get away with the show look becuse we will be affiliated with 2fast2furious or something. In my opinon, a wide body kit on a 350z or other cars can still look good and not be considered rice, and some nice manufature decals can look good too. just nothing outragious (sp?)

i was never into the craziness. i always loved the clean sleepers. nothing is more kickass than a slammed EBP 7thgen with tints, smoked tails, blacked headlights and a k20a2 under the hood riding on some 16 inch spoons.

i want the civic that they are racing in asia...widebody....4door....k20 platform...AWD?....race car built off civic running with the audis and bmw's. saw pics here before but not lately. still screw scratches id still fly around in that thing all 1/2 inch off the ground

how is a slammed civic with spoon wheels a sleeper? sleeper means it looks like its not fast,i.e.stock. those are 2 major elements of making a car not look stock. ESPECIALLYspoon wheels.

I think that to build the best sleeper u need the biggest, ugliest, riceist body kit, and wing that u can find. No one would be expecting u to beat them.

i would want to deck my car out in full race fashion. total weight reduction, pull out everything, and get a good looking body decal and parts/sponsor decal setup. i'd totally do it, but it doesn't work out well for a daily driver car.

i agree with the 2f2f comment cus my import crazed friends all looked down on me when i said a honda expecting a 20 ft. picnic table on the trunk and empty bean cans under the muffler with cracking body kit pieces all around. yet when they saw a subtle lowered vic with clean 17's and tyc's they all liked it alot... actually they became obsessed and started lookin online for a clean lip kit and this and that. so my vote and all my friends votes are for clean (low and slow) but clean

screw that lol... if i ever build a sleeper im buying some wide steelies and puttin a huge sidewall to look stock. then im gonna take a sledge hammer to all the body panels just slap some bondo on reall sloppy and not get an exhaust but drill holes so it sounds like i need a muffler. then id **** on it just for the hell of it. i know this is dumb but if i dumped all my money into performance id love the irony and laugh at every loser i came across.

my brother had an actual spoon sports dc2 itr race car... set up crazy low and nice looking like you describe. the thing is super weight modded and everything so he slapped repair plates on and whippped around in it. some idiot actually stopped next to us and taunted us saying we think our car is fast cus is bright and whe have a super cool red rollcage. then he looked at us funny when he realized the gauges were on the right. well we destroyed him the next few lights and he just pulled over. anyways i guess even a spoon sports type r is considered a sleeper by some people
