Storing a car=leaking oil pan??

Hi,

The original link is here http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=199974

The dealership told me that if a car is stored for a long time, the oil pan gasket can harden and leak oil... my car is 1995, and has been stored consistently (69,000KM on the car)... is it true? Or is there something else I should be worried about??

Thanks,

James

i guess its possible if the car is stored for a really long time and there is no oil or any kind of lubrication circulating through the system...i guess it could dry out and crack, thus causing a leak

do not cross post from one forum to another.

you have a thread in member's rides talk, which is an appropriate enough forum for that thread.
