My cousin locked himself out of his car and threw a brick at the window to shatter it. He says he did it because he was frustrated and just wanted to get home. Anyways, I remember when I was like 12 a friend of mine use to shatter windows by throwing this little tiny thing and the window would completely shatter. Anyways, I just wanted to know what iits called or what it was.

When they where changing the glass at my dad's store a while back, they used a diamond tip thing that looked like a pencil and shot ita couple inch from the window, they siad it went over 100mph and when it hit the glass the glass just shattered like normal glass. It was the same glass they use in windshields that isn't suppose to crack. It was something to say.

Actually, one of the bearing rollers from a wheel bearing. I was blown away by that. One tiny bearing shattered a window, and it barely made a sound at all.
I broke a bunch of windows at a junkyard trying that one out.
Yes, a car thief told me that one. Don't ask.

the spark plug thing is the way to go. 10 yrs ago, when I was an ignorant teenager, we would break into cars. You smash the tip of a spark plug with a hammer, and shoot the little white piece at the window with an elastic band, like a sling shot. The window spiders into a million pieces and drops fairly quietly.

my neighbor told me that spark plugs work, so we tried it at a junk yard, and it worked.
Glass can be pretty sensitive to really minor abbrasions. If anyone has the chance, try taking a Canadian dime (or coin w. serated-like edge, I think American quarters have them too? But not as defined?) and shaking it around inside an empty beer bottle. Then hit it over your head. The bottle will shatter with ease.
Please don't hold me accountable if anyone does terrible things to their head w. beer bottles. I also can't account for foreign currency, but I know Canadian dimes work best, be sure to shake the dime around in the empty bottle a lot so that it makes several small cuts all over the inside of the bottle.

Hummm.... that could go good for making me look tough in the bar.
Yeah, American, dimes and quarters have the correct edges.

ya..the porcelain part of a spark plug is what does it. you gotta throw it just right and it will make a really quiet snapping sound and then the window will start to spider web. it makes the glass really soft so you can literally bend it in half. thats how they broke into my car....when i got outside in the morning the window was bent in half and leaning out of the door.
i dont mean to ruin this thread, but should we really be talking about how to break windows? i've only been on here a minute or two and i've already learned how to shatter a window. lol

I got the email notification that _Viper_ had posted and I was expecting to see a demonstration picture of Catherine's new toy flying thru a piece of plate glass.
