Buy wrecked car and fix?

HEy guys my gf found this mazda 3 which is repairable but needs some major work. It's going for $6500 CDN but who knows how much work is needed on it. if it's only another $6k would it worth fixing?
here's some info on it:
2004 MAZDA 3 GT, 5 speed, full load, 10,000 kms, rebuildable, $6,500

Some body kits and paint would look nice on that. If nothing else was damaged, like axles and stuff, becuase that does look like a lot of damage, then go for it.

cheukkin is an unknown quantity at this point
not worthy it.

1 - it's a mazda's car
2 - it's a mazda's wrecked car
3 - $6500 + $6000+more = a new car
4 - It's not a light demage, it's a fuggin demage hope the driver still alive, the balance of the car is totally off. Not only the appearence work as well as some serious problems will keep coming up if you bought it.

so,why still want it?

it looks like someone beat the poop out of that car

well there is alot to consider...
1. was the car totaled out by the insurance company, if it was then the car wont have a regular title (at least in the states). and might be harder to resell
2. if the frame was damage even just a little the car the car may never feel right driving.
3. the 6k is only an estimate? right?? a new hood, front bumper and front fenders painted and put on professionally will cost around 2-3k... all windows another 1k ... if the car in the pic is all the damage then maybe 6k but looks lke it could be closer to 8-10 if the work is done by a good shop(im thinking of any rear end damage and damaged roof),... how bad is the interior.. any damage in there
4. any replacement part you will need for that car wont be cheap as it is a brand new model and not too may of them can be found in junk yards yet

hope this helps

GT for 6500 :P I guess you need to put another 7k plus to fix the car.

But like someone said, who knows what is wrong with that thing..

I personally wouldn't do it. Someone said something about the axles being fvcked up and I agree, as well as the rest of the suspension. Who knows, that thing might not even be driving straight anymore

MyK has a little shameless behaviour in the past
for $12 G's u could find a used car with a nice body / no accident, and have lots of money left over for a newer engine and mods.
