What is the fastest D17 EVER??
Like the title says. What is the fastest D17 anybody has ever seen in a magazine, on tv, or heard of? I am NOT talking about K20 swaps, turbo'd in a 7th gen. I am only talking about the actual D17 engine. Whats the fastest one heard of as of now? Any links to pics or specs would be very nice. Thanks a lot!
BTW, my goal is to see how much power I can get out of this motor. I know I will be going through trannys like no tomorrow, but thats a price you have to pay. Plus this will be my weekend car soon for sh**talkers. I know people with 500+ HP B16s running like 22psi, and he's been through like 4 trannys. This was after he blew his other motor from nitrous a year or so ago.
Please dont delete or lock this thread. It is completely different from the whos the fastest D17 or the fastest 7thgen threads. Those refer to the people of this site, not off the site. Catalyst is the fastest I have heard of period, so please dont post any numbers under what he was making. Thank you.

in all honesty I think Catalyst has the fastest turbo'd D17 hes supposedly is in the 13's
and that guy with the red Vp is probably the fastest all motor D17,he's in the high 14's
and that guy with the red Vp is probably the fastest all motor D17,he's in the high 14's

Rep Power: 0 Does anybody know of some civics other than this site. I bet there is a 11 possibly 10 second somewhere in the world. There has to be. With money anything can happen, and thats what I want to see. Somebody that put 10,000 into the motor of a D17 could easily make it into the 11 or 10s. IMO.
Thanks a lot though, I knew of those 2 people before, just want to know of others. There are tons of turbo'd vics around me that arent on this site. I know somebody has to be making 400+ HP by now. We just dont know of them. Damn.

Just look under their profile. Catalyst was turbo'd running very high methanol on a SF kit. I believe. Dont know if he had much dont to the motor, I think he was pretty stock. Had to have something done though, it seems
Redline, he lost a bunch of weight, has a crank pulley, probably ditched PS and AC. Maybe I/H/E? Not sure of the I/H/E though. He didnt do too much if I remember, but lost a TON of weight from the car. maybe 5 or 600 lbs.

Yeah, I felt like bumping this thread pretty fast. I was watching it move down pretty quickly, and didnt want it to get lost right away.

cat probably has the fastest that we know of he said it was straning at 304hp but hes not using big enuff injectors to get any more power outa that thing. but no one has heard from cat for a while now

DHracing ported head (dave claims to have done some "special things" to it)
a High efficiency ported turbocharger (ar.60, 66 trim, machined housing, exhaust seperators, blah, blah, blah)
an equal length manifold with ported ports, and collector
~16 psi of boost
Lots of alcohol
91 octane chevron gas
this is futures' stats 13.71 @ 103.38 ... 2.252 60'.. i need tires!.... he should have been faster then that plus he put on new mods ect but he never had the chance to take it to the track again. DH had his **** forever that thing was unusable for so long. that was with no tuning eather
i hope to be the fastest auto d17 soon or close to the fastes. my baby will be gone for at least a month and a half with what is being done to it.

Rep Power: 0 A few people wrecked it. I searched and searched and couldnt find my answer. So far catalyst is the fastest (known of) in the world for now. I know I could get past 300hp if they were running that and a crappy fuel system, prob no tuning since nobody ever does 
. Occasionally somebody does, but the majority will go kaboom.

hahaha! I dont see why people beleive this guy. Come on 15.1 with an DX tranny is total
Best an EX has run stock is 15.8 thats allmost a full second difference, which is about 4 or 5 car lengths, 14's allmotor stock internal D17........yea ok!! Honestly 15.8 is hard to beleive to but that was backed up with a video. 
because the title of the thread says the fastest d17. if they can get 12's and 11's on d16 's once they make more parts for our mtr and get the r&d done then i am sure some people on here can get better then 13's. Crew cheif almost got 12's and he's on dr's
