people here have done it for maybe $400-$500 which like i said would be good if u plan on boosting your car. i wouldnt do it unless i plan on boosting. casue vtech only gives but 10HP .

considering that the EX has 12 hp at the crank more than the LX/DX........i would say 6 or 7 at the wheels.

the lx to ex swap is pretty cheap, u can usually get a motor from ebay for cheap. everybody who has done the swap on here has said it is worth it...

Most the people doing it are doing it themselves. so 400-500 bucks isnt that bad really.

it's definately more complex than just slappin on the head to give 10 crank... doesnt the EX also have slightly higher compression?

yes, it isn't easy for someone that doesn't have mechanical skills

yes, the EX has higher compression, but the head has nothing to do with that

ehh i if i do any swap it will be a k20, i dont think the ex swap is worth it for the price and the few HP it gives
