Old RX-7 for sale...
RX-7
This thing has been on autotrader since before christmas. He wants 1400, but I'd be willing to bet he'd take a grand for it. I've been toying with the idea of going down there and checking this car out. It would be a fun little project car, but at the same time, I dunno if I shouldn't just spend the money on my 8 which is still stock up til now.
What do you guys think? Worth it? Or should I just spend the money on the 8? I mean this car is probably gonna need some work too....
Oh yeah, it's an auto so that's another con I suppose...

Haha, yeah I know...I just get the itch to have a beater car that I can just not care about you know? It was supposed to be the civic, but my mom needed a car, so I had to let her drive it.
This particular RX-7 is the old FB, but it's an '85, so I'd venture to say that it has the 13B in it. But god, why does it need to be auto?
Anyway maybe I'll go check it out, and offer him 500 for it. We'll see...like I said, I just have the itch to have a real BEATER...

26B?? I haven't heard of this, but maybe you can enlighten me on that? As far as I know, the largest production rotary was the 20B. There was a 2622L 4 rotor in the 787B, but that is not a production motor.
The 20B from the cosmo eh? I don't know if it would even fit, plus that motor is worth more than the car. If I had a 20B you can guarantee it would go into my current car.
Maybe I'll buy it and put dirt tires on it and take it offroading.

You guessed it the 4 rotor out of the 787B was dubbed the 26B. Not a production motor but as far as I know a Mazda shop in Atlanta bought the remaining motors from Mazda when they stopped running the 787B.
Edit, supposedly there is supposed to ONE guy on the east (i think south carolina) that is very knowledgeable of the rotory engine and is also a master machinest. I never followed up on it, but SUPPOSEDLY he is able to reproduce the 26B housings and esentric shaft. I dont think anyone has been able to reproduce the intake manifold on the 26B.

$1400 is too much with that mileage. The engine will be near the end of it's life.
My SL65 rim, because a rim is all I can afford
