i am getting my vis carbon fiber hood monday and they told me i will need hood pins. do i really need them or can i take the latch and stuff off the oem hood and use it to hold it down?

ive been in an eclipse with a carbon fiber hood that flew off and got scratched the very first night. nothing else need be said.

listen i have a vis cf hood when you install it which is very easy 4 bolts. theres a rubber peice on both sides of the frame were the hood sits on just adjust them by turning clockwise ( you want to lower them cause the cf hood is lighter obviously) then slowly place the hood down ***never slam it down**** and push down on the hood were the latch is and youll here it lock iv drove around sometimes doing 90mph and it never flew away on me. if you have any ques just pm me....

Just put em on. It is good to be safe rather than sorry. Install sucks tho. make sure you mask off the area with tape
