Old Honda Specs

I was wondering the specs on certain cars. I have a little brother and our family plans to buy a car for him to play around with. here are our final choices: 1980 Honda Prelude $800, 1986 Honda Civic CRX Si $1500, and 1985 Honda Accord LX. All are manual and if you can give me the specs to these cars and your choice. Where can i find specs to cars anyways??

I agree with neo, but I'd buy an 88-91 crx si. Those look better, IMO. You should be able to find them pretty cheap. You don't even need an si if you're going to change the engine for a b18c5 or something like that.

The '88-91 CRX Si had 108hp. I believe the '85-88 Si had 97 or 98hp. How many miles are on it? Get the old Si and see if you can talk them down to around 1K - 1200. Now you have to really careful with the first gen. CRXs. Their subframe rusts very quickly and needs welding and stuff after about 8-10yrs, especially in the rear. My friend had to bring his '86 in to a frame & welding shop and they did hudnreds of $$ of work on that (ball joints too, etc.). That was a few years ago. The car only had 90k mi. on it. It's not the mileage it's time that takes its toll on those older CRXs.

I believe the 88-91 had 125bhp. I could be wrong, but I could swear that's what it has.

I forgot to add that my brother has also looked at this 1986 Acura Integra and its only $1400. Remember this os only a car for him to play around with hes only 15 years old. But the Prelude is out of the question because its pink and I think the CRX Si is white or gray. So really the question is the Integra or CRX Si and maybe this 1983 Prelude that has only 93k miles on it!!
