Beware: Anti-theft

Ok, I have a two week old '05 EX/SE. It has the indash 6-CD changer with anti-theft. The salesman gave me a wallet sized card that had my serial number and radio code on it. The radio code is needed to reactivate the system if it is ever disconnected from power. I am not keeping this card in my wallet because I leave my wallet in the car when I go to the gym or go running. I wouldn't want the card to be stolen with the radio.

Here is the kicker for anyone else that has a factory installed system with anti-theft. In the glove box is a "Honda Service History" book, that is used when you get the oil changed etc... In the front of the book, the dealer has filled out the pre-inspection secton. This section includes the radio code! What was Honda thinking when they did this? I would think most people leave these booklets in the glove box and this would make it easy for thiefs to get the needed code, mine is in the house.

Once this gets out - and I know, I just let it out - '05's can become a target.

Just thought someone else could use this info...

honestly, i dont think a theif is too worried about the stock cd player, nor does that person probably know to look for an anti-theft code.
